Small Plane Crash Results in 6 Deaths in Virginia
On Friday, a small plane crashed into trees just as it aborted its landing at a northern Virginia airport. The crash occurred next to train tracks and witnesses on a train passing said that the plane was totaled and that it was on fire. As a result of the crash, six people are dead.
At one point, the plane approached the runway at Shannon Airport, but pulled up and eventually hit the tree line just outside of the airport property.
The early reports state that all six people killed in the crash were from another state.
The crash is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
